The Debt Services team provides a proprietary platform and managed service for collections debt placement and sale for key Equifax clients. The platform utilises a data and analytics driven approach to manage placement strategies to maximise client returns whilst ensuring compliance with debt collection guidelines.
The Debt Services Analyst role is to ensure recovery strategies are executed effectively in the platform. To monitor portfolio recovery and performance trends, control that it works as expected, and to find and deliver opportunities for improvement by working with internal stakeholders, clients, and suppliers. Identified opportunities for improvement include; improving robustness and automation of data handling, improving process reporting, utilising additional Equifax data resources and deploying targeted analytics in strategy optimisation. This role will work with the debt services team and key clients to ensure high quality service delivery to customers.
What you'll do?

Own and drive performance on a portfolio of accounts.

Create and execute innovative strategies to enhance portfolio performance, in line with our test & learn framework.

Provide analytical insight and recommendations to the Agency Management and Client Relationship teams to optimize portfolio performance.

Effectively integrate into the analysis team and proactively manage relationships with stakeholders across all business functions.

The role has no direct reports they may need to lead the implementation of solutions. The candidate will need confidence and free thinking to understand and define the problem, take ownership, create a solution, and coordinate people to deliver change.
What experience do you need?

Proficient in database environments and data set manipulation including exposure to tools such as SQL, Tableau and Excel (including macros)

Solid interpersonal and relationship building skills

Exceptional numeracy and demonstrable attention to detail

Experience in delivering high quality analytical output to tight deadlines

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and communicate them clearly in emails or on conference calls

Collections experience as an Analyst either from debt collection agencies or credit provider is preferable
