Together we share our passion for our products and industry; it’s what inspires us to dream big, and continue to create new experiences for our customers and teams across Australia. If you thrive on positive energy, we want to meet you!

Job Description

  • This is just the start, so dream big
  • Fixed term contract role of 6 months
  • Hybrid ways of working

The role of d&ai is to ensure we’re supporting the growth of Endeavour by providing meaningful insights to support decisions and outcomes for customers and stakeholders across our retail and online environments.

The Data Analyst is responsible for supporting end-to-end analytical projects and delivering to stakeholders with a key focus on strong insights and actions for business use.

We’re looking for an individual who isn’t afraid of the unknown: is ready to learn, can ask the right questions, get deep into data, explain findings to stakeholders and work as part of a well-rounded team of analysts.

Sound good? Read on.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

  • Providing ongoing and ad hoc reporting, analysis and insights in a timely manner
  • Focus on the insights (aka ‘so what’) from ongoing and ad hoc analysis, defining the narrative and identifying actions and opportunities
  • Establish strong relationships with business stakeholders to become their trusted advisor and partner
  • Work within team norms, standards and procedures to provide consistency across the business
  • Support and drive the development of great team dynamics
  • Learn and be proactive with ideas and recommendations and help drive the business outcomes
  • Document your pathways: champion the role of solid data governance, create data lineage assets and create meaningful documentation for your stakeholders and peers
  • Thrive and grow within our team's supportive and collaborative environment, adhering to our norms, standards and procedures to provide consistency across the business and with peers
  • Keep learning: stay up to date with knowledge of current trends to ensure our solutions remain in line with industry best practice

The right person for this role will form part of Endeavour's Data & AI (d&ai) team. They will have had relevant experience in a similar role where they have supported key stakeholders to deliver insights and support decisions, as well as having worked across data visualisation and insights.

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you:

  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent in a relevant field (Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Analytics)
  • Have a minimum of 2 years hands on analytics experience
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Ability to handle large and complex data sets using different applications and an understanding of databases
  • Experience in technical operations working with Cloud technologies (GCP, DBT)
  • Data visualisation and storytelling experience (Tableau preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with large and complex data sets using different applications
  • Demonstrate a strong focus on delivery and the right attitude and approach towards any challenges
  • Analytically inquisitive - identifies opportunities to find root causes

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and abilities to apply.

The benefits are good too!

  • We offer flexible working in every sense
  • An exclusive discount card for BWS, Dan Murphy’s, Woolworths, BIG W and other Endeavour Group brands, including our ALH pubs
  • Monthly meeting-free days
  • Your health and wellbeing is your most important asset, and as one of our valued team members, it’s our first priority. You will have a range of free services to help you live well and support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing
  • Endeavour Group is full of opportunities - use our dedicated learning and development options to grow an idea, yourself, and your career. This is just the start, so dream big.
