THE OPPORTUNITY
The purpose of this role is to provide quantitative support and detailed analysis of portfolio trends and to the business, the executive management team and IfNSW Agencies.
The role is focused on designing and implementing reporting solutions and providing analysis services to support and inform strategic decision making, to identify performance improvement opportunities and to maximise outcomes.
This is a full-time, secondment/ 12-month, maximum term contract position based in the Sydney office with flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week, subject to performance approved once fully trained.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather clear requirements for new reporting solutions
- Design and develop reporting solutions that are outcome focused and in line with business requirements
- Ensure continuous improvement is applied to reporting solutions to ensure they continue to meet the needs of the business
- Develop and maintain in house documentation of all regular and ad hoc reporting
- Provide training and guidance to end users to support effective use of the reporting across the operational teams
- Provide incisive analysis and make recommendations to enhance and improve current claims management processes, and performance
ABOUT YOU
- Sound ability in writing SQL queries and working with SAS
- Sound knowledge of SSIS and C/Python scripts
- Sound knowledge and expertise of data visualisation platforms such as Power BI / Qlik sense would be highly desirable
- Sound knowledge and expertise of MS Fabric would be advantageous
- Experience within the workers compensation/ insurance industry would be highly advantageous but not essential
- Sound knowledge in MS Excel and knowledge of information systems
- Confidently able to manage a large quantity of data and create dashboards
- Ability to confidently communicate difficult concepts to a wide range of stakeholders
