About the role
As a Data Engineer, your core purpose is to build, deploy, and support the data solutions that enable accurate and timely analytics across Envato. You'll focus on integrating data from various internal and external sources into our central repository , analysing business needs, and managing the common data infrastructure that helps our teams make smart decisions.
What you'll be doing
- Analyse business requirements to deliver robust, technical data solutions
- Write high-quality, well-tested code and deploy it regularly to production
- Support production systems by investigating, diagnosing, and resolving issues
- Integrate data from a variety of internal and external sources
- Actively monitor, performance tune, and improve our data solutions and pipelines
- Collaborate with Analytics Engineers and Analysts to enable accurate and efficient reporting
About you
- 3+ years in backend software development, with a strong focus on data
- Hands on experience with data warehouses like Redshift or Snowflake
- An understanding of data engineering fundamentals — including ingestion , orchestration , platform reliability, and system observability
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (terraform) and cloud-native environments (AWS)
- Practical knowledge of server-side programming (like Python)
- Clear communicator who can collaborate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders
- You're a proven collaborator who can work constructively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- You have a growth-oriented mindset, committed to quality, knowledge sharing, and team improvement
