The ASX Data office team within the Enterprise Customer & Operations owns the Data Management frameworks, policies, and execution of Data Strategy. ASX Data Office is responsible for ensuring the data management principals and standards are cascaded to all ASX business units and governing policy compliance.
The team owns several policies relating to Data Management, Data Breach management, and Data governance framework. Data Office closely works with the enterprise architecture function and projects to delivers target state data management uplift with right data controls. The team also assists with the establishment of standards, uplift and ongoing training and support to ASX Business units.
Your responsibilities:
Support stakeholders in planning and implementing Data Management practices, standards, and policies
Support senior members of the team with refining the policies, processes and tooling
Develop and deliver guidance for business areas to implement practical steps to uplift data management
Develop/support development of new methodologies, processes, training to deliver data management uplift roadmap
Drive and contribute to building a data focused culture and a high data literacy at ASX
Work very closely with the key partnering teams to ensure rights solutions are implemented to enable Data Management capabilities
Collaborating with Enterprise Risk & Compliance, Legal and Privacy teams, ensure alignment of Data Management framework and associated policies with enterprise risk management framework
Define and deliver process improvement for Data Impacts assessment, incident reporting, policy governance and data governance aspects
Must have:
Experience in applying Data Management standards and processes
Participating/supporting an organisation wide capability uplift in Data Management and/or Analytics
Experience in Data & Analytics role, supporting or delivering a business solution ensuring appropriate risk management
Strong knowledge of data management, data risks & controls
Some experience working with a data management framework (industry recognised or organisation specific)
Demonstrated communication skills, and the ability to view and explain complex topics in simple terms, telling story with data.
Experience with the full software development lifecycle using traditional and agile methodologies.
Demonstrated analytical capabilities, applied to complex technology & business environments and programs of work.
B.S. and degree in Data Analytics, Information technology or equivalent business degree with focus on data analysis
Experience in financial services or similar domain
Nice to have:
Working knowledge of a fully integrated Exchange environment would be highly beneficial.
Experience in of high impact, enterprise-wide, strategic programs, and initiatives.
Results orientated – understands what levers to pull to drive outcomes in a tightly regulated but changing environment.
Naturally inquisitive – asks questions to ensure understanding.
Great communicator – able to get the message across in the best way.
