The successful candidate will have experience working with big data systems and will be adept at designing and developing high-quality software services. In this position, you will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, including backend specialists and core data engineers, who are dedicated to managing Atlassian's customer-facing data platform.
- 2+ years of experience in Data/Software Engineering role
- Experience with Big data processing technologies like Spark, Flink.
- Degree in Computer Science, EE, or related STEM discipline
- Experience building applications in one or more languages (Kotlin, Scala, Java, Python)
- Built solutions using public cloud offerings such as AWS
- Solid understanding and experience in building RESTful APIs and microservices, e.g. with Flask
- Experience with continuous delivery, continuous integration, and source control system such as Git
