We’re looking for experienced Data Quality Specialist to join our team at our office in Archerfield, Brisbane to play a critical role in uplifting and maintaining the integrity of Hastings Deering’s data, ensuring it is trusted, well-governed, and delivers business value. 

This is a Permanent, Monday to Friday role. 

 

What you’ll be doing:  

As a Data Quality Specialist at Hastings Deering, you will:  

  • Assess and improve data quality through profiling, validation, and cleansing activities 
  • Analyse complex datasets to identify issues, optimise processes, and ensure data integrity 
  • Develop and maintain metadata, master data, and documentation aligned with governance standards 
  • Partner with stakeholders to resolve data issues and enhance collection, transformation, and storage processes 
  • Drive adoption of data quality practices and tools across the business 
  • Continuously enhance data quality frameworks, tools, and system performance 

 

What you’ll need:  

A successful teammate will have experience in:   

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Management, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field 
  • Proven experience in data quality, metadata, master data management, and governance 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills 
  • Ability to work with complex datasets, query databases, and develop dashboards and solutions 
  • Experience conducting business process mapping, data lifecycle analysis, and root cause investigations 
  • ~7 years’ experience in data analysis and quality improvement within large or complex environments
