Job Description
FactSet’s Data Solutions primary goal is to create high value differentiated data available for the FactSet workstation and for enterprise end users via direct DataFeeds. Data Solutions partners with various strategic business units to understand the most important industry content initiatives that will help fuel growth and provides a connected data experience for our clients.
Data Solutions is focused on delivering value to our clients in the way they want to consume it, through a suite of product and solution offerings. Whether a client needs market, company, or alternative data, our data delivery services provide data through direct delivery of local copies of DataFeeds, APIs, and cloud-based options.
Due to our continuing growth, we are seeking highly skilled and motivated individuals to join the Data Solutions group as a DataFeed Implementation Specialist.
You will be given immediate responsibility, working directly on exciting and challenging projects and delivering business solutions for our clients. You will be responsible for new DataFeed implementations, including pre-sales activity, gathering client requirements, preparing sample files, process design, implementation, and testing. You will work closely with Sales teams, Solution Design, Technical Account Managers (TAM), Product Management, and Consulting teams throughout the client trial and implementation phases.
You will gain exposure to the entire Data Solutions product suite which includes Standard DataFeeds (FactSet proprietary and third-party content), Benchmark DataFeeds, APIs, Real-Time products, and Cloud solutions, and learn to design solutions tailored to each client using a combination of Data Solutions products. Implementation specialists coordinate all large-scale implementations that require their expertise and are the main point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders during the implementation phase.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Client relationship management
- External and internal training
- Involvement in product development through client feedback
- Support escalation for existing clients
Requirements and Skills
We welcome ambitious team players with a proven ability to take the initiative and find creative solutions to client problems, with a desire to continually learn and develop in an ever-changing environment.
- Experience with analyzing large amounts of data, ideally within relational databases.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of SQL or Python a plus.
- Experience working with users who consume data via feeds or are familiar with ETL processes.
- Interest in learning new technologies and how multiple systems work together.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members in other offices.
- 3+ years in a client-facing role, preferably with experience overseeing large-scale project rollouts.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture, but also execute tactical day-to-day tasks and projects.
- Strong project management skills, and ability to work on multiple projects with shifting priorities.
- Good understanding of FactSet Proprietary Content and Equity/Fixed Income benchmarks.
- Verbal and written fluency in English and Japanese.
