The Databricks Architect is responsible for designing secure, scalable and cost‑efficient Databricks platform architectures, ensuring strong governance, seamless integration with Azure, AWS or on‑prem systems, and leading the migration of data and analytics workloads to Databricks. It provides technical direction on clusters, notebooks and jobs while supporting delivery teams through solution reviews, performance optimisation and hands‑on issue resolution. The position also involves close engagement with project teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on technical outcomes.

Additionally, the role contributes to capability uplift across the practice by sharing best‑practice patterns, mentoring team members and actively participating in internal and external Databricks community activities.

• Deep knowledge of Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, Lakeflow
• Strong understanding of big data patterns and architectures
• Experience with Azure or AWS data and analytics workloads
• Databricks Professional certification preferred
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Ability to guide and influence technical teams
• Strong problem‑solving skills and resilience under pressure
• Able to manage stakeholders with tact and sensitivity
