H&M AU Logistics is looking for a DC Operations Controller. The role will be located on site at the Marsden Park Distribution Centre.

Job Description

  • Support the target setting process and planning execution, to secure contribution to local strategy and goals.
  • Secure staff and temps planning to balance cost efficiency, flexibility, and service level in collaboration with the local operations team.
  • Support local financial processes such as budget, forecast, monthly and yearly cut, ensuring compliance with both external and internal standards and frameworks.
  • Assist to ensure timely and correct invoice control, as well as cost booking per external and internal guidelines
  • Contribute to strong collaboration with local operations teams.
  • Support the development of tools and methods for local controlling and operational management.
  • Analyse financial results, business cases, and initiatives to ensure strong cost management, performance, optimise investment strategy, and minimise risks.
  • Follow up on targets and monitor development for operations, service level, sustainability, stock, and shrinkage.
  • Analyse performance and identify opportunities for improvement or risk mitigation.
  • Contribute to ensure data quality in financial systems and reporting, acting as support to the local business owner of the logistics data warehouse.
  • Contribute to ensuring commercial processes comply with internal guidelines and market regulations.
  • Assist in maintaining proper governance of logistics local legal entities in collaboration with accounting.
  • Support preparations for internal and external audits and follow up on results and recommendations.
  • Analyse and review sustainability reporting from local data providers.

Qualifications

  • Experience of DC financial and operational controlling.
  • Financial knowledge and understanding of accounting principles
  • Strong analytical ability as well as excellent business acumen.
  • Experience and technical ability in financial tools, with the proactive approach to quickly adapt to new systems and dynamics.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end DC operations and organisation structure.
  • Great communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interacting with management and specialists in different functions of varying levels.
  • Ability to perform under pressure, with strong ability to prioritise.
  • Ability to identify scalable initiatives for improvement.
