About the role

We’re seeking a DCA Compliance and Assurance Analyst to lead and shape compliance efforts across our external debt collection agencies (DCAs). This role is pivotal in maintaining robust governance and assurance frameworks that ensure our DCAs operate in full compliance with laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.

Join our dynamic team in a hands-on compliance leadership role that encompasses risk management, audit support, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll be instrumental in driving continuous improvement across the Customer Solutions & Australia Markets Partnering (CS&) function.

As our DCA Compliance and Assurance Analyst, you’ll contribute to lasting and positive changes that uphold the highest standards of integrity and operational excellence. It’s meaningful, challenging, and exciting work.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Monitor DCA adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Privacy, Customer Service, DCA Operations) to meet compliance goals

  • Manage DCA obligations in Protecht and support regular audits

  • Liaise with DCAs and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance outcomes

  • Design and implement assurance and control frameworks

  • Conduct reviews and testing of controls, recommending enhancements

  • Assist in developing risk strategies and maintaining risk registers

  • Guide CS& teams on risk management practices and system administration

  • Align assurance activities with organisational goals and support audits

  • Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and regulators

  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely reporting of issues

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in compliance, preferably in the debt collection industry

  • Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience

  • Strong time management and process documentation skills

  • Ability to analyse data, assess risk, and provide sound recommendations

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently

With a career at Transurban, you’ll enjoy a range of benefits, including:

  • Flexible working and leave options, including the ability to purchase up to six extra weeks of leave annually

  • 16 weeks paid parental leave (regardless of gender or carer status), with superannuation paid during unpaid leave

  • Learning and development opportunities to support your career interests

  • Health and wellbeing support—access to Headspace, EAP, wellness facilities, and more

  • Share offers and insurance benefits

  • Social activities, community give-back programs, and paid volunteer days

We offer a range of flexible working and leave options, so you can balance your work and life commitments and interests. Have a conversation with us about how this could work for you.

We embrace diversity with a foundation of safety, wellbeing and inclusion; where everyone belongs. We treat everyone with fairness, consideration and respect, regardless of gender, gender identity, marital or family status, sexual orientation, age, ethnicity, religious beliefs, cultural or socio-economic background, perspective, and experience – whether they work for us or not. We want to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe to express ideas, questions and concerns.

We strongly encourage applications from candidates of diverse backgrounds and lived experiences, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people living with disability. If you require any adjustments or support during the recruitment process, please contact us on [email protected].
