This position is responsible for driving the monthly Sales and Operations (S&OP) Planning Process for assigned product lines, including development and implementation of strategies to support product launch planning, inventory and obsolescence management, product rationalization and monitoring of key demand planning performance indicators. The Demand and Supply Planning Specialist is also responsible for executing and monitoring of all supply and distribution planning activities to ensure timely availability of material while meeting inventory targets, minimizing obsolescence and optimizing costs. Overall responsibility includes ensuring accurate business assumptions and integration with business plans to reduce forecast error. Owning finished goods inventory target methodology used across global distribution sites for assigned products.
Responsibilities:

  • Lead monthly S&OP review meetings and challenge the assumptions and numbers provided in the analysis in order to solicit functional knowledge to improve forecast accuracy
  • Submit periodic Net Requirement Forecast through SAP, based on cross functional discussions, analyses on sales forecast, new product launches, phase-In/out schedule, etc.
  • Work closing with sales and marketing teams, regulatory, global planning, and local supply chain team striving to provide and accurate demand signal.
  • Review and manage STOs generated by system. Minimize manual process.
  • Follow up and expedite shipment with distribution centers/suppliers
  • Determine and maintain SNP parameters in APO SNP.
  • Communicate implementation plans (and relevant changes) to geographies consistent with marketing & integrated business plans.
  •  Ensure inventory policies & LBE targets are met by working closely with commercial, marketing and finance team to create appropriate inventory control.
  •   Monitor safety stock and reorder points without hampering the customer service levels
  •   Monitor and reduce scrap.
  •  Monitor DOH and drive DOH reduction.
  • Monitor backorder and Line Fill Rate.
  • Contribute to phase-in/phase-out processes for assigned product lines. Communicate implementation plans (and relevant changes) to geographies consistent with Marketing & integrated business plans.
  • Coordinate inventory allocation and/or transfer during times of supply constrain or in excess.
     

Essential

  •         A diploma or equivalent of college graduated.
  •         At least 3 years of working experience in similar roles.
  •         Demonstrates advanced level expertise in Excel
  •         Have in-depth knowledge of various forecasting techniques, root cause analysis as well as ERP systems.
     

Desirable

  •   Previous experience is medical industry.
  •   Previous experience using SAP APO.
  • Previous Power BI Development experience
