Xylem is looking for a Design Engineer at our Kemps Creek Location.  The Design Engineer is responsible for understanding customer requirements, identifying, and addressing market niche opportunities through effective product portfolio development and management, and producing engineered drawings, including component designs, general assemblies, and P&ID documentation.

The role:

  • Creating Mechanical and Electrical designs utilising Autodesk Inventor.
  • Leading project estimations, quoting and project management of ETO projects.
  • Maintaining of product data for localised product portfolio.
  • Meet with customers as required, to identify engineered product design needs, provide site commissioning supervision, partake in product launches & support key product growth activities.
  • Assist the Applied Water segment in developing and maintaining a Product Roadmap, product strategy, and implementation plan for localised packaged solutions.
  • Support product localisation efforts and collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure alignment and quality.
  • Provide technical training on products to all relevant stakeholders, including the Xylem Sales Team, customers and Channel Partners.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical design engineering.
  • Experience in CAD modelling and Drafting.
  • System Experience in AutoCAD Mechanical, Creo and or Inventor.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully communicate with customers.
