Remote: This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of Austin,Warren,or Sunnyvale, you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.
About the Role:
As a Global Integration Design Lead, you would collaborate with designers in global studios, researchers, engineers, and business stakeholders to craft meaningful experiences for our customers through thoughtful design. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of user interface design, design systems, design development and release process with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to achieving results through global collaboration.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience creating digital interfaces for web, mobile, or in-vehicle interfaces
  • Formal training or degree in Interface Design, Visual Design or related discipline
  • Candidate must provide a strong portfolio with work samples showcasing UX expertise, interaction, design, creativity, and depth of thought
  • Successful track record for bringing digital products to market
  • Operational mindset with strong attention to detail and drive for results
  • Demonstrated ability to organize cross-team processes and workflow to guarantee delivery with quality
  • Ability to exercise restraint in design
  • Proficient in common design tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to partner with cross functional teams to creatively solve challenging problems
  • Open and growth mindset to learn from each other
  • Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills

Scope and Impact:
  • Sets objectives and takes responsibility for achieving metrics and Key Performance Indicators that directly influence the attainment of results, providing measurable contributions to functional outcomes and aligning with GM's strategic priorities.
  • Contributes innovative, impactful ideas, and leads large projects with broad visibility. Develops, plans, and implements solutions that require integration of multiple related teams or larger teams of both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Champions change management and role models GM's behaviors necessary to maintain a productive team without inhibiting individuality and personal diversity. May serve as an indirect leader within their function.
  • Their contributions drive the delivery of results that impact various departments and or functions and directly contribute to execution of functional strategies.

What You'll Do
  • Collaborate closely with studio designers at the Warren Global Technical Center and the Global Design Studio in China to create a premier user experience across all products and platforms.
  • Gather and represent regional customer needs in the development of global UI design platforms
  • Facilitate the onboarding of global design partners to the latest design principles, guidelines, and processes.
  • Set the process of seamless collaboration by facilitating access to libraries and design assets, as well as managing the review and release processes.
  • Manage the ongoing work assignment process through close collaboration with the Producer team.
  • Engage in design critiques to inform design decisions during both global and local reviews.
  • Ensure that the design output from global design partners aligns with brand strategy and adheres to design guidelines.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional partners to ensure regional vehicle variants meet design quality standards
  • Conduct ongoing audits to ensure the quality of design delivered by global partners.
  • Present work to peers and leadership on behalf of global partners.

Compensation : The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington.
  • The salary range for this role is $165,000.00 -$253,200.00 USD AnnualThe actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
