Job Description:

dentsu is a network designed for what’s next, helping clients predict and plan for disruptive future opportunities and create new paths to growth in the sustainable economy through five global leadership brands; Carat, Dentsu Creative, dentsu X, iProspect and Merkle, each with deep specialisms.

Dentsu Creative operates in over 21 markets worldwide with more than 2,200 dedicated specialists. Bringing together our Japanese heritage in craft, data and technology, and our deep understanding of media and contemporary culture, Dentsu Creative is a new global creative agency. Born in Japan, raised in a digital world. We help transform brands and business through the power of Modern Creativity: which creates culture, changes society and invents the future and is accelerated by our deep specialist expertise in digital experience, earned attention and entertainment.

At Dentsu Creative, we believe you can’t grow with the status quo. Growth comes from challenging convention, earning attention, and creating ideas that make an impact where it truly matters. That is what we mean by Innovating to Impact. As the agency world evolves, the most valuable partners are those who can connect brand, experience, media, and commerce into one clear system that drives real business results.

We also have big ambitions for the future of DC. Over the next twelve months we are focused on creating five pieces of great work that define our next chapter, and we are working towards becoming Agency of the Year by 2027. To do that we need people who are hungry. Hungry to grow client partnerships, hungry to create exceptional work, and hungry to make a real impact. Our cultural behaviour is simple: Be More Dog. Curious. Energetic. Positive. Loyal to the team. Always chasing the next opportunity.

We are now excited to invite applications for the role of Designer with our awesome team in Sydney.

This Designer will be an integral part of achieving that ambition. Someone who is well versed in modern tools, someone who can employ systematic design thinking, someone who is hungry to make work that will accelerate their career.

The role:

As a Designer, you will support the delivery of high‑quality design work across brand, digital, presentations and print. You'll bring fresh ideas, contribute strong design craft, and take ownership of small‑to‑mid‑sized projects. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to bring concepts to life for a wide range of clients.

Core responsibilities:

  • Translate briefs into clear, well‑executed design solutions with support from senior designers.

  • Contribute to internal creative discussions and ideation.

  • Prepare artwork for digital and print with accuracy.

  • Manage multiple small-to-medium jobs and communicate progress effectively.

A bit about you:

  • Approximately 2 years' experience as a designer, ideally in a studio or creative agency environment.

  • A developing portfolio showcasing solid craft, attention to detail, and stylistic versatility.

  • A strong understanding of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy.

  • Competent in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and strong presentation design skills (PowerPoint, Google Slides)

  • Bonus experience: motion design, Figma, AI tooling (Nano Banana/Adobe Firefly)

  • Curious, collaborative, positive, and hungry to grow your craft.

What’s in it for you:

  • Real flexibility to work when and where you feel most productive with our ‘Be the Best You’ policy which includes a $250 contribution to your home office set up.

  • The opportunity to give back with dedicated volunteer leave and our whole-company event, One Day for Change.

  • 5 weeks annual leave after 2 years of service and 3 whole company Wellness days off per year for you to switch off and take your day, your way.

  • Career Development and Learning & Development opportunities, including access to our global online dentsu University.

Become a champion for meaningful progress:

Our diverse and inclusive culture enables our employees to bring their whole selves to work and be proud of doing so. For us, this is the foundation for great innovation which, in turn, generates better outcomes for our people, partners and communities. This is why we encourage applications from people with disabilities, and of all ages, nationalities, backgrounds and cultures.

If you want to belong to a one global network where opportunities are limitless – we look forward to welcoming you.
