About this role

As the Desktop Support Engineer at Stake you’ll be the first call for our Sydney and global team to enable them to do their best work. You’ll be involved in all aspects of internal IT across device management, support, administration and contributing to IT projects and initiatives.

As this role has a focus on our Sydney office, there is an expectation that the role is mainly performed onsite at least 4 out of 5 days.

Your primary responsibilities will be:

  • On-site support including meeting rooms, desks, audio visual equipment, networking, printers.
  • Onboarding/offboarding: Including the procurement of hardware, creating new system accounts, device configuration and getting new Stakers setup in our IT environment. Offboarding involves closing down accounts for a leaver and the retrieval of Stake hardware.
  • Setup, installation, configuration and troubleshooting macOS and Windows hardware. This includes managing these devices using MDM platforms.
  • Manage our internal hardware, keep asset management records up to date. This also includes the disposal of Stake hardware or e-waste.
  • System administration across our suite of internal SaaS applications.

A bit about you

  • Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills to effectively assist users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
  • Exposure to administration across various SaaS platforms including Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Jira, Confluence, Slack.
  • Experience in supporting and troubleshooting both macOS and Windows operating systems and hardware.
  • You have basic networking knowledge and understand networking concepts and managing Wi-Fi infrastructure.
  • You’ll contribute to our internal user and technical documents to make sure they are relevant and up to date.
  • You have the ability to work independently, we’re a small IT team and we want to empower you to contribute to everything IT at Stake.
