The Role

The Development Manager manages an offshore team of around 20, which includes developers, quality engineers & product owners. You will be working closely with development & product leaders to ensure 99.9% up time of the global platform and be responsible for managing and guiding your team to produce top quality software under tight timelines. This team manages a centralised platform which includes libraries, API’s and various services that are the backbone for the website(s) and products that are developed by five countries


About you

In order to be able to deliver on this role there are some key areas of experience you will need to bring with you, along with a fantastic attitude which drives urgency where required, ability to adopt to change fast, top communication skills and a passion for leading and delivery high quality software


Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead offshore software development team(s) to design, develop, own and operate the global platform framework, which is the foundation and building blocks of the products in every country InfoTrack operates in.
  • Be a great communicator who proactively & effectively communicates to stakeholders.
  • Work as a team with the other development leaders ensuring technology choices are streamlined, best practices are agreed and followed, and a great culture is continued and nurtured.
  • Be a hands-on leader who can take care of the system at times of crisis along with senior developers.
  • Manage InfoTrack's existing and future client facing and internal systems
  • Present alone or with other leaders at strategic technical sales opportunities
  • Conduct research and case studies on leading edge technologies and make determinations on the probability of implementation
  • Continuously evolve the existing core applications and architecture in various areas in ways that sets the standard for quality and innovation, being ahead of the curve with version upgrades and security updates, etc… 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • 7+yrs experience in .Net software development
  • Minimum 12 months in a lead role
  • Sound understanding of people management principles
  • Ability to actively communicate, inspire and motivate all levels of staff
  • Ability to work autonomously and proactively
  • Strong written and presentation skills
  • Proven stakeholder management skills and engagement of senior business leaders
  • Have solid experience in developing applications in .NET /ASP.NET using GIT and AWS services
