ING Australia is looking for a DevOps Engineer with experience and in-depth knowledge of software application development, Agile methodology as well as being a team player. Reporting to the Chapter Lead – Continuous Delivery, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that applications are designed, developed, deployed and maintained in alignment with infrastructure capabilities and operational considerations.
A hands-on, multi-skilled role with exposure across application lifecycle management, architecture, technical design, application development, technical testing and infrastructure competencies. It requires collaboration with a large set of stakeholders across Infrastructure, Architecture and Development to ensure applications run smoothly and are scalable in meeting transaction growth.

What you’ll do …
Provide operations and infrastructure support to software delivery teams.
Build tools that enhance application monitoring, integration, and delivery.
Maintain and improve configuration management repositories and capabilities.
Contribute to and strengthen Continuous Delivery (CD) practices across teams.
Develop automation tools and processes to improve infrastructure and operations efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement by extending automation across delivery, infrastructure, and operations, while supporting production and improving deliverables.
What we’re looking for...
Strong development and DevOps experience with .NET or Java and at least 2+ years in DevOps.
Solid Windows/Linux and Azure administration skills for managing and troubleshooting environments.
Proficiency in CI/CD and automation tools including Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, Ansible and scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Batch.
Hands-on experience with containers and virtualization such as Docker, AKS, Kubernetes, OpenShift, VMware, and Hyper‑V.
Broad knowledge of databases, middleware, and storage technologies across SQL, PostgreSQL, JBoss, IIS, and Commvault.
Knowledge in AI tools
Knowledge in security practices
