About The Role:
This is a key role required to develop our Products, Services and Channels, designing, building and supporting the next generation of digital engagement. The Digital Engineer will analyse and implement technical solutions for digital products and services across multiple domains at ASX for data driven, modern, flexible, secure and highly resilient engagement points. The Digital Engineer will work together with a full stack team to enable the realisation of modern, sophisticated and simple digital experiences for our internal and external stakeholders.
What You'll Do:
- See the big picture - Establish the technical solutions for our digital products and services enabling re-use, flexibility and scale and accelerating our ability to build compelling products and services.
- Ideate - evolve and re-imagine our technology stack ensuring resilient and modern functionality is maintained while clearing the way for the next horizon of innovation.
- Connect - Build strong relationships with our product, engineering, cyber, data and delivery stakeholders. Research and learn, bringing in innovative thought leadership to the team and driving designs that are contextual given our current landscape, our regulatory obligations and our future goals.
- Measure everything – enable consistent and coherent monitoring and analytics capabilities, enabling the collection and use of data from all of our products to identify issues, monitor performance and measurably improve our platform.
- Build – directly contribute to engineering, engineering practices, correction and support and work in close partnership with your product and engineering team members to build and experiment cohesive products and services - delivering frequently, efficiently and safely based on codified patterns, controlled pipelines and automated quality frameworks.
- Assure, run and manage – support the team across quality engineering enabling consistent patterns, assessment of quality and improvements to designs to simplify our landscape, eliminate waste and to operation and run manage the platforms safely. A hands on problem solver that deeply understands the technical implementations applied across the product stack.
- The role is required for our Public access channels, Subscription channels, our Data & Innovation Squads and our Enterprise Enablement team.
What You'll Need:
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree – Comp Science, Data, Finance or Tech / Masters +
- 5+ years
- Financial services, services design, solutions architect/solutions design, product development, engineering and delivery
- Stakeholder management, influence and engaging across technology, architecture and business teams with executive presence.
- Product development, solutions design, service design, technical solutions, functional and non-functional requirements, testing for complex financial engagement.
- Cloud, integration, data exchange, platform architecture, hands on engineering expertise, scaleable platforms and products, componentised and service based design.
- CI-CD, control and unit testing, production ready applications, micro services, automation, troubleshooting, tuning and performance, secure coding and data/application protection.
- Key platforms: Java, .Net, Javascript, APEX, Python, React, SQL, Node.js, HTML, CSS, AWS, GCP, REST, streaming and queuing technologies. Open to other skills, languages and frameworks with demonstrable production experience in a highly resilient and scaleable environment.
