What the role is all about

Digital Marketing Specialists are the execution experts behind REA Group’s Electronic Direct Mail (eDM) product, managing campaigns end-to-end from contract signature through to deployment and delivery. They ensure every send meets agreed service levels and operational standards, maintaining high accuracy across content, targeting, tracking and reporting through strong attention to detail and governance of eDM business rules.

They are a trusted operational contact for client and account teams, troubleshooting issues related to creatives, audiences, delivery and reporting. Working closely with customers, vendors, creative agencies, product and internal stakeholders, they coordinate post-sale campaign setup, uphold creative quality, and deliver consistently excellent client service through seamless, well-managed eDM execution.

Key accountabilities

  • Ensure the successful and efficient implementation of email campaigns across the REA Group network, from contract signature through go live to full and final delivery within agreed client SLAs.
  • Investigate and resolve operational queries from client/account teams, including issues with creatives, targeting/audiences and reporting.
  • Bring exceptional attention to detail to the execution of all tasks and maintain a high level of accuracy in operational processes.
  • Ongoing monitoring and enforcement of eDM business rules for all activity created by account managers.
  • Develop and maintain accurate email campaign content and tracking documentation.
  • Provide detailed availability information for eDMs when required.
  • Co-ordinate all eDM activity post-sale, ensuring creative quality by enforcing standard policies and procedures.
  • Provide clear and effective consultation with external creative agencies, vendors and operational teams.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external clients regarding creative development, eDM deployment, tags, and reporting

Operations and Customer Service

  • Be an effective point of service and liaison between external customers, sales and operational teams.
  • Ensure that all EDM send information is easy to access for all customers.
  • Participate in regular WIPs and meetings, as necessary, with internal and external customers.
  • Be proactive in seeking revenue driving solutions and innovations with key stakeholders in sales and operations.
  • Review and provide feedback on new processes, tools and product releases that will improve operational efficiencies in relation to eDMs.
  • Be proactive in driving knowledge sharing, innovation and efficiencies in the Operations team.

Campaign Reporting & Optimisation

  • Develop and execute campaign optimization to ensure ROI is achieved.
  • Own the performance of your campaigns and be a valuable resource to your account team.
  • Provide campaign reporting based on account team needs and expectations.
  • Manage ongoing campaign performance; flag under-performance issues, inform AEs of creative change recommendations, creating and processing re-allocations, optimisations and SRO schedules.
  • Help to generate competitive analysis reports via recognised tools, competitor websites, key industry sectors, market trends, trade publications/websites and traditional advertisers’ current activity to identify new business leads and opportunities for the teams you support.
  • Ongoing reconciliation and reporting of campaign bookings to finance.
  • Reconciliation of campaign details in deployment platform with client booking details.
