What you’ll do

  • Digital Solutions Execution: Implement comprehensive digital solutions designed by the Technology Manager, leveraging IoT, AI, and machine learning to enhance product performance and customer experience. Daily activities include developing, testing, and deploying these solutions to meet strategic goals. Success means delivering reliable, innovative digital products that improve operational efficiency.

  • Proof of Concepts and Field Testing: Support validation of new technologies through hands-on testing and troubleshooting at customer sites. This includes equipment testing, commissioning, and deployment activities. Travel globally to customer locations is expected to ensure solutions meet performance and reliability standards.

  • Collaboration with Technology Product Manager: Work closely during the design phase to contribute ideas and ensure alignment with company strategy. This involves cross-functional teamwork and communication with stakeholders to drive project success.

  • Digital Lab Ownership: Manage and support global Digital lab spaces, addressing the needs of training, troubleshooting, R&D, and testing teams to maintain effective lab operations.

  • Technical Expertise: Provide deep knowledge of industrial/mining equipment (pumps, cyclones, screens, HPGRs, rotating equipment), sensors, instrumentation, and condition monitoring. Use this expertise to solve complex problems and guide technological advancements.

  • Research and Development: Conduct research on market trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies. Support product development by creating specifications, prototypes, and testing plans.

  • Documentation and Communication: Maintain detailed records, prepare technical reports, and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

What you’ll bring

Must-haves:

  • Strong understanding of industrial/mining equipment including pumps, cyclones, screens, HPGRs, and rotating equipment

  • Expertise in sensors and instrumentation, including installation and interpretation of vibration, temperature, and speed monitoring data

  • Hands-on field engineering experience with equipment testing, validation, troubleshooting, commissioning, and deployment

  • Proven product development and R&D mindset, comfortable working with new technologies and prototype validation

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience in the mining industry

  • Knowledge of Cloud IoT architectures and applications

  • Productisation experience including SAP, Teamcenter, BOM creation, and engineering drawings
