Job Description

Minor Hotels is seeking an influential Director of Brand Marketing to join our growing team at our Corporate Office in either Brisbane or Sydney. This newly created national role is a rare opportunity to drive the evolution of our brand across Australasia, leading the development of integrated campaigns, public relations, and brand strategies that connect with our audiences and reflect our hospitality ethos.

Please note: To be considered for this role, candidates must have prior experience in the hospitality or hotel industry and be available for frequent domestic and international travel.

About the Role: 

As Director of Brand Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the Minor Hotels brand across the region. This role will partner closely with operational and commercial leaders to deliver a consistent, high-impact brand experience across all customer touchpoints. You'll bring a strategic and data-informed approach to operational brand execution, guest experience, and internal brand engagement.

You’ll be a key brand ambassador leading the charge on marketing innovation, embedding brand values across our hotel teams, and ensuring our brand not only meets but exceeds guest expectations.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead the development and delivery of regional brand marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with global brand direction and business objectives.
  • Champion operational brand success, maintaining brand consistency and elevating the guest experience at every stage of the customer journey.
  • Collaborate across departments to deliver brand transformation programs and hotel openings that bring our brand promise to life.
  • Manage and grow Minor Hotels’ social media presence across all platforms in line with regional and global brand strategies.
  • Drive earned media exposure and brand storytelling through public relations, influencer activity, and partnerships.
  • Implement performance tracking tools and brand metrics to measure the success of initiatives and inform future strategy.
  • Develop and deliver internal tools, training, and guidelines to support brand alignment across all hotel properties and departments.

Qualifications

You are a strategic brand marketer with a deep understanding of the hospitality industry and a passion for creating meaningful guest experiences. You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and are comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and projects across regions.

  • Qualifications in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in brand marketing or brand leadership roles, ideally within the hotel or hospitality sector.
  • Strong track record in designing and executing omnichannel brand campaigns, including social, influencer, and PR strategies.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and translate business objectives into actionable brand initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience managing internal and external teams, including agencies and creative partners.
  • High-level stakeholder engagement skills and ability to influence at all levels of the business.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly, both domestically and internationally.
  • A collaborative, innovative mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
