Join our high-impact Business Development team as the Director, Strategic Business Development, where you will be crucial in fueling the company's growth by securing partnerships with high-potential, high-GMV vendors. Bilingual proficiency (Mandarin + English) is required to execute on our global strategy. You will manage a top-tier team of Executive Business Development Managers, focusing intently on partners who can achieve over $50M in Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) annually.

How you will achieve success:

  • Lead and manage a high-performance team of Executive Business Development Managers, directing all aspects of the new brand acquisition process from prospecting and target list building to on-boarding and KPI measurement.
  • Personally land 10-15 significant Business Development deals per year that each drive $50M+ GMV, leveraging your expertise to define the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and independently close complex negotiations.
  • Develop the macro company and category-specific vendor target strategies in close collaboration with the Vendor Management team to ensure continuity and success across the broader organization.
  • Oversee the entire business development data and process infrastructure, ensuring it effectively supports the outbound teams and enables the efficient prospecting and on-boarding of new vendors.
  • Build, refine, and champion pitch methodologies and strategies, customizing presentations for various targets (SMB vs. Enterprise) and representing the company in meetings with C-Suite executives and business owners.

What experiences will help you in this role:

  • Bilingual proficiency (Mandarin + English) is required, along with strong cross-border business development expertise.
  • 8+ years of experience in leading and managing people.
  • A history of successfully managing teams across different geographic locations.
  • Demonstrated experience in process management, P&L management, KPI tracking, and CRM management.
  • Extensive negotiation experience, especially with C-Suite executives, SMB owners, and/or National VPs of Sales.
  • Proven ability in public speaking and presentation to senior executive levels.
  • Prior experience with trade show networking.
