How you’ll make an impact
We're seeking an exceptional and commercially astute Director of Corporate Communications to join our global communications team. This is a pivotal leadership role based in Australia, where you'll be instrumental in shaping and executing our corporate communications strategy and narrative, including leading significant communications projects. This role demands a unique blend of outstanding communications expertise, sharp commercial acumen, strategic thinking and proven success in managing and delivering large-scale, corporate communications projects to drive company value in line with strategic objectives.

  • Manage a team of three direct reports in different locations, ensuring a high-functioning and engaged team that meets key objectives.
  • Collaborate with global and regional communications teams to strategically position the company across key markets, including Australia, the US, and the UK.
  • Partner with senior leadership to execute the CEO's executive profiling program through media and speaking opportunities.
  • Help advise and support the Reputation Communications team to continuously develop and safeguard the company's reputation through proactive and reactive strategies.
  • Navigate a fast-paced, rapidly scaling global business with confidence and clarity, providing leadership across key communications work-streams.
  • Bring your understanding of listed company communications and global tech knowledge to deliver impactful communications that achieve critical business outcomes.

What you'll bring with you

  • 15+ years of direct external communications experience within listed companies, with a strong track record in project management, leadership and a deep understanding of listed company practices. Experience with M&A communications and working across global teams is highly valued
  • Proven ability to take a global point of view, localise where needed, and successfully work with and engage people and teams across different cultures and working styles to effectively influence stakeholders, while gelling effectively within a tight-knit team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a distinctive, personal and accessible tone. Impeccable attention to detail is crucial
  • Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams while upskilling and coaching direct reports
  • A strong understanding of business drivers and the ability to translate business objectives into effective communications narrative and strategies
  • Well-developed stakeholder and project management experience, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex projects from inception to completion
  • Experience working in B2B enterprise/SaaS software is desirable
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multi-task effectively, prioritise projects, and confidently communicate priorities and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • An energetic approach, strong emotional intelligence, resilience, creativity, a sense of humor, and a collaborative team spirit
  • BA/BS degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or Marketing is preferred
