THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting into the Senior Director, Supply Chain, ANZ, we have an exciting opportunity for a Director, Deliver to lead Operations for J&J MedTech ANZ, with a strong focus on Warehousing & Distribution, Transportation and 3rd‑party logistics. In this role you will drive the transformation of Operations into a modern, future‑proof supply chain, deeply understanding our customers, delivering service excellence and enabling profitable growth for J&J. You will also lead and inspire large, cross‑functional teams to achieve measurable operational improvements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead Warehousing & Distribution for J&J MedTech across Australia & New Zealand, providing clear regional ownership for operational performance and safety.
  • Own the modernization agenda: eliminate waste, introduce automation, and optimise warehouse cost-to-serve to future-proof operations.
  • Drive exceptional customer service by translating customer needs into measurable SLA/KPI targets and reliable delivery.
  • Set and execute an end-to-end Operations strategy that balances short-term business delivery with long-term capability building to secure competitive advantage.
  • Lead Operations across all ANZ warehouse sites through a network of state-based Operations Managers, ensuring consistent processes and standards.
  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with 3PLs and vendors to unlock efficiency, innovation and customer value.
  • Lead year-on-year Cost Improvement Plans (CIP), identifying opportunities and delivering sustainable savings while protecting service levels.
  • Oversee operational governance: budget, performance reporting, compliance, risk management and continuous improvement.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement across commercial, supply chain and customer teams to prioritise the Operations agenda and implement pragmatic solutions.
  • Manage talent, workforce planning and succession to build resilient, high-performing teams aligned to business needs.
  • Champion Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives, creating a purpose-driven culture that aligns team behaviour with enterprise goals.

ABOUT YOU

  • 15+ years’ progressive leadership of complex Operations and multi‑site Warehousing.
  • Proven ability to lead large teams, inspire followership and develop high‑performing leaders.
  • Deep expertise in 3PL/partner relationship management and customer account management, including SLAs and commercial negotiations.
  • Track record of delivering operational improvements, cost optimisation and automation initiatives.
  • Experience in the MedTech sector is highly regarded.
  • Lean / Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt) advantageous.
