We are looking for a Director of Finance with public markets/investor relations experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, welcome responsibility, enjoys detailed analysis, takes initiative and is meticulous with attention to detail. Your responsibilities will be broad and entrepreneurial covering all aspects of financial planning and reporting. You'll immerse yourself in the operational nitty-gritty of our team, collaborating across all business divisions, and playing an integral role within the compliance functions of the group. Beyond internal dynamics, you'll also interface with external stakeholders through investor relations and other strategic group activities. 

If you are a finance professional with at least 5 years of experience who is after something greater than a slow corporate career, we want to hear from you. You are likely to have worked in one of the top 4 accounting firms or a tier one corporate advisory firm and already made your move to a corporate role, preferably with a mid sized ASX company. Key Responsibilities:

Your role will be comprehensive, entrepreneurial, and involve close collaboration with all business divisions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare, interpret and present financial reports, budgets and accounts
  • Conduct strategic analysis and planning
  • Undertake research into pricing, competitors and factors impacting performance and perform financial analysis of long term business plans
  • Develop and manage financial systems and models. 
  • Conduct risk assessments and business modeling for new initiatives 
  • Drive cost-efficiencies by analysing pricing structures and recommending strategies 
  • Drive automation of reporting processes within the finance team..  
  • Support the CFO in ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting 
  • Liaise with management and other key business stakeholders 
  • Managing external audit process across numerous jurisdictions
  • Lead finance related special projects 
  • Coordinate investor relations efforts, participate in investor meetings, respond to inquiries, and provide timely and accurate information to investors and analysts.
  • Handle ASX and other regulatory reporting
  • Review and provide commercially focused feedback on legal agreements
  • Support legal and compliance functions to ensure financial compliance with regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

  • A background in big 4 accounting or a tier one corporate advisory firm, currently working in a mid-sized ASX company
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Accounting or equivalent
  • Experience with public markets and investor relations is required 
  • Experience with international transactions is advantageous. 
  • Interest and preferably experience in online marketplaces and/or fintech.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to create workable implementation plans
  • Innovative problem-solving abilities    
  • Highly proficient excel and modeling skills
  • Excellent communications and numerical skills.
  • A focus on quality and attention to detail
  • Strong project management skills.
  • High energy levels and a can-do attitude
  • Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting legal contracts
  • A solid professional network with the ability to leverage it for company benefit
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
