Director, Portfolio Management

At Resmed, we're transforming healthcare through connected solutions that improve lives. As Director, Portfolio Management (Diagnostics), you will play a pivotal leadership role in driving delivery excellence across our global Diagnostics portfolio, spanning both Consumer and Provider domains.

Leading geographically distributed teams across Sydney, India, the United States, Singapore, and Dublin, you will be responsible for translating portfolio strategy into predictable execution. This role requires a systems-thinking leader who can navigate complexity, balance competing priorities, and drive outcomes across digital, hardware, regulatory, and regional delivery streams in a highly regulated environment.

You will shape how delivery happens at scale, influencing strategic decisions, optimizing operating models, and ensuring the Diagnostics portfolio consistently delivers business value.

• Own end-to-end delivery across the global Diagnostics portfolio, with accountability for commitments, timelines, and outcomes.
• Lead portfolio execution across cross-functional teams spanning product, engineering, regulatory, and business stakeholders.
• Drive prioritization, sequencing, and trade-off decisions to maximize business impact and align delivery with strategic objectives.
• Translate portfolio strategy into actionable delivery plans while balancing demand, capacity, risk, and regulatory requirements.
• Represent delivery performance, risks, dependencies, and key decisions in executive leadership forums.
• Establish governance frameworks and delivery practices that enable speed, quality, transparency, and predictability.
• Identify and mitigate systemic risks, dependencies, and constraints that impact delivery performance.
• Develop clear, data-driven reporting and insights to support decision-making and portfolio health visibility.
• Define and implement evaluation frameworks that assess technical, operational, and regulatory readiness across initiatives.
• Continuously improve operating models, delivery systems, and ways of working across the broader delivery ecosystem.
• Champion innovation, including AI-enabled delivery practices, to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to influence roadmap priorities and investment decisions.
• Lead stakeholder alignment and complex negotiations to optimize portfolio outcomes.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing global team of Project and Program Managers.
• Establish and uphold standards for delivery excellence across the PMO and broader delivery organization.

• 10+ years of leadership experience delivering complex programs, portfolios, or product initiatives across multi-team engineering environments.
• Proven success leading large-scale delivery in globally distributed organizations.
• Strong ability to connect strategy with execution and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Demonstrated experience making prioritization and trade-off decisions in complex, fast-changing environments.
• Track record of improving operating models, delivery practices, and leading organizational transformation initiatives.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and executive teams.
• Strong people leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring, and developing teams.
• Experience delivering digital and/or hardware products within regulated environments.
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate delivery status, risks, dependencies, and recommendations.
• A strategic, accountable, and outcomes-focused leadership style.

• Experience within the medical device, healthcare technology, or another highly regulated industry.
• Demonstrated success leading complex global portfolio delivery across multiple regions.
• Exposure to AI-enabled delivery models, portfolio management practices, or modern delivery optimization approaches.
• Experience working across both software and hardware development environments.
