DIRECTOR, Specialised Agribusiness Solutions

Corporate Agribusiness | Sydney, NSW

Lead People. Build Trusted Partnerships. Grow What Matters.

We are seeking an accomplished Director to join our Specialised Agribusiness Solutions (SAS) team, supporting a sophisticated portfolio of corporate agribusiness clients across Australia.

This role is designed for a senior relationship leader who combines strong commercial acumen with the ability to inspire, motivate, and drive performance across a team. You will protect and grow an established portfolio, originate new business, and set the standard for leadership, accountability and client outcomes within the SAS team.

About the Team

Our Specialised Agribusiness Solutions team partners with larger, more complex pre‑ and post‑farm gate businesses, delivering tailored banking and finance solutions that support long‑term growth, resilience and sustainability.

You will lead a highly capable group of specialists, fostering a high‑performance culture where people are developed, empowered and aligned to shared goals. You’ll have access to strong product capability, decision‑makers and credit expertise to serve clients with scale, credibility and care.

The Role

As a Director within our Sydney‑based SAS team, you will take ownership of key client relationships while leading, coaching and developing your direct reports to consistently deliver strong commercial and risk outcomes.

You will operate as a visible senior leader—internally and externally—setting direction, lifting capability, and modelling the behaviours that underpin trust, discipline and performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, motivating and developing a team of relationship professionals, driving engagement, accountability and high performance
  • Managing and growing an established portfolio of corporate agribusiness clients
  • Originating new business through your market presence, professional networks and referral channels
  • Leading end‑to‑end deal execution, from origination through structuring, credit approval and settlement
  • Exercising strong commercial judgement and disciplined risk stewardship across the portfolio
  • Building deep internal partnerships to deliver seamless, client‑focused outcomes
  • Maintaining an active presence with clients, including travel to regional locations to understand operations, risks and opportunities firsthand

About You

You are a respected agribusiness banker or financier with proven experience leading people as well as portfolios. You are known for your credibility, consistency and ability to lift those around you.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience managing and growing corporate agribusiness portfolios
  • A strong track record in business origination and complex deal leadership
  • Proven capability in leading, coaching and motivating high‑performing teams
  • Deep understanding of credit risk, structuring and portfolio management
  • An established network across agribusiness, professional services or adjacent sectors
  • The presence, confidence and maturity to operate as a senior leader in the market

Most importantly, you think beyond today—balancing growth with stewardship, results with culture, and commercial outcomes with long‑term relationships.

Why Join Us?

This is a role for someone seeking influence, impact and progression, not just a title. You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Lead and develop a talented team within a nationally important portfolio
  • Shape client outcomes at scale across Australia’s agribusiness sector
  • Play a key role in the growth and leadership of the SAS business
  • Be part of a culture that values judgement, accountability and people leadership
  • Position yourself for future senior leadership within corporate banking

If you’re ready to step into a Director role where your leadership sets the tone and your impact is visible, we’d love to hear from you.
