We're looking to hire an experienced eCommerce Solutions Consultant to join our Australia team in either our Melbourne or Sydney locations. This is an ongoing permanent position.
The role of the Solutions Consultant requires proven experience in delivering high-quality e-commerce solutions as you'll be working with the client stakeholders, internal technical team and related third parties to analyse, design and document technical solutions to meet the business objectives. The role covers the full project life cycle from the elicitation of business requirements through to user acceptance testing and implementation of the system/s.

The core responsibilities include:

  • Conducting client research and analysis of the current technology stack in use capability.
  • Lead platform-agnostic discoveries and suggest the best-fitting solutions that are logical, meet business needs, and are platform-appropriate.
  • Leading re-platform projects for eCommerce platforms end to end.
  • Leading Mobile App projects.
  • Create, own, and manage functional scope.
  • Understand the client's business needs and process.
  • Help our clients with building their road maps and backlog grooming of requirements.

Requirements

Core Requirements

  • Leading discovery workshops to gather business requirements, understand the current state and develop technical requirements.
  • Translating outputs from discovery workshops into JIRA Epics and User Stories, along with presenting highly technical concepts to external/internal senior business stakeholders.
  • Understanding of the full eCommerce product life cycle, including back-end systems (OMS, PIM, ERP, etc).
  • Working knowledge of either core eCommerce platforms such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce Cloud, Shopfiy, Commerce Tools or Big Commerce.
  • Proven track record in software development environments and experiences of end-to-end project lifecycles.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert, including raising awareness of innovation, process improvements, and how to solve client challenges.
  • Proficient in co-coordinating with offshore teams and vendors across different time zones.
  • Experience with B2B and B2C eCommerce implementations
  • Requirement documenting skills in the form of user stories, user flows/diagrams and functional specifications.
  • Ability to translate between development, creative and business stakeholders.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Working knowledge of other digital platforms outside of commerce, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Service Cloud, Web CMS (Contentful, AEM), Klavyio, PIM systems, ERPs etc
  • Experience in AI methodology, spec-driven requirements and prompting
  • Experience working within the retail industry
  • Familiar with JIRA, Confluence, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Experience creating detailed reports and presenting.
  • Excellent attention to detail, oral and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal and consultative skills.
  • Team player with excellent collaboration skills, with a fantastic can-do attitude.
  • Previous experience facilitating discovery workshops.
  • Ability to analytically think and problem solve.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.

Desirable Experience & Knowledge

  • Knowledge of user experience.
  • Understanding of web standards, best practices, and latest online trends.
