The opportunity

Based in our Brand, Content & Digital team within the wider Group Corporate Affairs & Sustainability (CAS) function, this role focuses on creating and delivering high-quality external content for our Australia Pacific (Auspac) division, with a particular emphasis on B2B audiences such as brokers and commercial clients. You’ll also support the Elders Insurance business, an iconic brand with a franchise network located in over 200 locations across rural, regional and metro Australia.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Editorial & Content, you’ll work closely with both our business and marketing teams to plan and produce both strategic content and more tactical content that supports QBE’s brand, reputation, and the priorities and commercial goals of our Auspac commercial insurance business.

We’re looking for an excellent stakeholder manager, confident communicator, content strategist and planner and someone not afraid to get their hands dirty project managing, writing and editing content.  Someone can hit the ground running, manage complex stakeholder needs, and translate complicated and technical subject matter into clear, compelling narratives.

Your new role

  • Developing and executing content strategies aligned to brand, business, and stakeholder priorities.

  • Translating strategic priorities into proactive content and campaign ideas that support brand and reputation-building.

  • Managing a diverse content pipeline including articles, video, social, research and more—both directly and via external partners.

  • Writing, editing, and reviewing content to ensure brand tone, editorial quality, and consistency.

  • Supporting stakeholder engagement and managing content approvals across multiple channels.

  • Advising internal teams on content planning, campaign development, and communications best practice.

  • Collaborating with CAS and Marketing teams to align global goals and local execution.

  • Navigating complex topics and translating them into accessible, audience-relevant content—particularly for broker audiences.

About you

  • Prior experience in a content-focused role, with insurance sector experience highly desirable

  • A passion for storytelling.

  • Strong writing and editing skills, and a keen eye for content that connects.

  • Experience managing multi-format content projects and long- and short-term priorities simultaneously.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with a ‘can-do’ mindset and ability to build strong relationships.

  • Strong digital content know-how, including SEO, social platforms, and metrics.

  • Sound judgment around reputational risk and content sensitivity.
