We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Building Services team. In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of electrical engineering designs, studies, and documentation across a diverse range of building and infrastructure projects.


Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support the design and delivery of electrical systems for new developments, upgrades, and modifications. This role will provide opportunities to further develop your technical capability while working alongside experienced engineers across a broad range of projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with and undertake electrical engineering studies, calculations, and detailed designs for building and infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare electrical design calculations using both manual and software-assisted methods.
  • Assist in the preparation and coordination of drawings, models, and technical documentation.
  • Prepare reports, technical specifications, and other project deliverables.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant Australian Standards, client requirements, and project objectives.
  • Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, consultants, and authorities as required.
  • Assist in resolving technical and design coordination issues under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Work collaboratively with mechanical, structural, hydraulic, civil, and other building services disciplines to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Continue developing technical capability and maintain awareness of industry developments, technologies, and standards.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience in electrical engineering within building services in a consulting environment.
  • Exposure to the design and delivery of electrical building services projects.
  • Understanding of electrical building services systems including power, lighting, communications, security, and renewable energy systems.
  • Experience assisting with the preparation of technical documentation, specifications, and design calculations.
  • Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards and industry practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams and contribute to collaborative project delivery.
  • Proactive approach to learning and professional development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
