Electronics Engineer – Humidification Technology

Help shape the future of humidification technology.

You will join the Engineering function within the Product Organisation and help create new products, plus improvements to existing ones. You will work in the Consumer and Growth department as part of a cross-functional humidification technology team. The role supports innovative solutions for sleep apnoea, COPD, and other chronic diseases. Your work will span component selection, circuit design, compliance testing, prototyping, and supplier management. You will also help shape humidification technologies across device platforms, with products designed for high-volume manufacturing to the highest standards of quality and safety.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, simulate, prototype, document, and test electronics that meet electrical, thermal, safety, regulatory and reliability requirements.

  • Select components such as microcontrollers, switching power converters and sensors that meet electrical, thermal, safety, regulatory, and reliability requirements.

  • Develop and verify analog and mixed-signal circuits, including work involving PID controller behaviour, stability, and tuning.

  • Apply first-principles physics to electronics design across heaters, sensors, and electrical, thermal, and fluid interactions.

  • Build embedded and low-level firmware to support lab characterisation, test automation, and prequalification of PCBAs before software integration.

  • Design for safety, EMC, and isolation, including protective and safetycritical circuits to achieve singlefault safety, considering dielectric strength, leakage current, creepage, and clearance.

  • Specification and design of interconnects, including wiring looms, flex circuits and connectors, with appropriate electrical, thermal and mechanical ratings.

  • Design and execution of laboratory experiments to characterise power consumption, temperature rise, humidity and airflow, using sound experimental technique and Design of Experiments (DoE) to explore multifactor interactions.

  • Documentation in support of product development including design descriptions, DFMEAs, verification protocols, verification reports and electrical manufacturing specifications.

  • Collaborate across software, systems, and mechanical engineering, while supporting verification, documentation, supplier work, and manufacturing readiness.

What You Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.

  • 2+ years of relevant industry experience in electronics design and development.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience in thermodynamic analysis

  • Experience designing humidification systems.

What Sets You Apart

  • Curiosity - Enjoy learning new technologies and stepping into new engineering domains.

  • Collaboration - Work well with experts from different disciplines and help solve problems together.

  • Systems thinking - Can move between detailed technical work and the broader system view.

  • Comfort with ambiguity - Help bring structure to complex technical challenges.

  • Purpose - Care about improving patient outcomes and user experiences through better technology.

At Resmed, your work helps create solutions for sleep apnoea, COPD, and other chronic diseases. You will join a cross-disciplinary team where hardware, software, systems, and business perspectives come together to solve problems at the system level. The team values humility, curiosity, collaborative problem-solving, and learning from others across the business. It is a place where excellence, support, and inclusive thinking help people grow while building

Joining us is more than saying “yes” to making the world a healthier place. It’s discovering a career that’s challenging, supportive and inspiring.
