The Opportunity
Cochlear has an opportunity for and Embedded Software Integration & Verification Engineers based in our Macquarie, Sydney office.
In this role, the successful Embedded Software Integration & Verification Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the integration and verification of embedded software components in Cochlear Implants and Sound Processors, ensuring they meet specified needs and requirements, while also contributing to process improvements, adhering to regulatory standards, and demonstrating strong coding, analytical, and communication skills.
Responsibilities include:
Comply with the governance model for Embedded Software Integration & Verification (ES I&V).
Ensure integration and verification of ES components in platform releases, ensuring stability and proper documentation.
Contribute to the development of ES I&V processes, infrastructure, and tools.
Apply cross-functional thinking and problem-solving skills.
Utilize coding languages such as Python, C, or C# to debug test scripts and write test cases.
Maintain a strong understanding of ES methodologies, embedded system continuous integration and deployment, and automation to improve test efficiency.

Strong understanding of ES methodologies & tools, embedded system continuous integration and deployment.
Knowledge of improving test efficiency through automation and test methodology processes and competencies.
Desired Skills
Experience with product development in the medical device industry
Experience with active implantable medical device development and regulatory requirements.
