About the Role
The Employee Relations Advisor is responsible for supporting our HR Business Partnering team and people leaders to address employee concerns, by providing guidance on workplace issues, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and employment laws. This position will play a crucial role in our Enterprise/Collective Bargaining, supporting bargaining teams to prepare negotiations strategies, building capability, mitigate and resolve disputes and undertake compliance reviews/submissions to governing bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with HRBPs and people leaders to resolve workplace issues, including conflict resolution, grievances, and disciplinary procedures.
- Support HRBP's to conduct thorough and objective investigations into employee complaints and recommend appropriate action.
- Support the performance management process by supporting HRBPs and people leaders to address performance issues and developing improvement plans.
- Support teams to resolve Personal Grievances (NZ) and Fair Work-Related Matters (AU).
- Support teams to resolve Union disputes and build effective and constructive working relationships with Unions.

- Support Bargaining teams to prepare EA strategies.
- Maintain and develop bargaining toolkits.
- Ensure that employee relations activities comply with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Stay up to date on legislative changes, preparing briefings for Senior Leaders/HRBP's in order to mitigate risk.
- Provide advice and interpretation on company policies, procedures, and employment-related laws to managers and employees.
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating HR policies and procedures and templates to align with legal requirements.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in employee relations, HR generalist, or related roles, with demonstrated expertise in handling complex employee relations matters.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations across AU and NZ
- Previous experience with Enterprise/Collective Bargaining
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
