About the team
You will be part of a small specialist team providing a significant positive impact for the Bank. You will be led by two Heads of Employee Relations with a strategic focus. They will work closely to support you in your short and long term career objectives and learnings. You will also be part of an engaging and collaborative People Department team, a group of specialists in their own areas of expertise with a similar goal to deliver the best outcomes for the bank.
About the role
We are seeking an Employee Relations Consultant to join a small Employee Relations team to play an important part of the People Department at the Reserve Bank of Australia. Overall, you will provide day to day advisory services and support across the Bank to all levels of management and employees related to a range of employee relations matters.
You will have a background and experience from a similar role, engaged at all levels of management across a broad range of employee matters such as, investigations, employee grievances, performance and disciplinary matters. Additionally, you will work well in a small team, with an ability to provide accurate advice to influence the right commercial outcomes for the organisation.
Your background
Experience in end-to-end ER case management which is supported by:
Demonstrated experience in employee relations matters such as, investigations, employee grievances, performance and disciplinary matters.
Concise and timely follow up and engagement with staff and managers on employee related matters.
Assisting with gathering information for the preparation of responses to support matters before Fair Work Commission and any industrial tribunals.
High level of integrity dealing with sensitive matters and a positive, professional demeanour with a passion for due diligence and reaching quality employee relations outcomes.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with an ability to communicate complexity to diverse stakeholder levels and actively listen to build a detailed understanding.
Well organised in working independently to manage multiple tasks and to thrive in an evolving environment.
Support in industrial relations matters including enterprise agreement negotiation and disputes is highly desirable but not essential.
Degree qualification in Human Resources and/or Industrial Relations or equivalent experience.
