A Snapshot

An initial 6 month fixed-term contract with the expectation of transitioning into a longer-term opportunity, depending on business requirements.

As the Energy Business Analyst you will report to the Energy & Climate Operations Manager and work closely with the rest of the Energy team, making your mark in a number of ways:

  • Ensure that energy costs are expertly managed, maximizing cost recovery and ensuring customers are receiving an excellent service on their energy bills
  • Develop an expert understanding of our energy cost structures and drivers across our markets and help inform key energy purchasing and strategy decisions
  • Support the Operations team in testing data and acting as an internal energy advisor


Your Day to Day

  • Oversee energy operations and billing for all sites, maximizing cost recovery through supplier invoice review, customer invoicing, SLA monitoring, and feedback to internal teams
    • Supplier energy billing review and recovery tracking
    • Customer energy invoice creation
    • Billing alignment with SLAs and feedback to commercial teams
    • Energy data logging internally
  • Carbon accounting and renewable energy measurement
    • Calculate CUE and report back to the business company progress towards net zero
  • Dashboarding and analysis
    • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and tools for energy, emissions, climate, and sustainability metrics using advanced Excel and PowerBI skills

Requirements

  • You have 5+ years of experience as a business analyst, energy consulting, engineering or similar
  • You have a university degree in business, economics, engineering or similar
  • You are passionate about energy and sustainability and have a keen interest in the operations of large energy users such as data centers
  • You have strong data analysis and presentation skills
  • You have strong excel and PowerBi skills
  • You are a team player, eager to take on new responsibilities and excel in your role
  • High level of motivation to learn and grow in the role
