A Snapshot
An initial 6 month fixed-term contract with the expectation of transitioning into a longer-term opportunity, depending on business requirements.
As the Energy Business Analyst you will report to the Energy & Climate Operations Manager and work closely with the rest of the Energy team, making your mark in a number of ways:
- Ensure that energy costs are expertly managed, maximizing cost recovery and ensuring customers are receiving an excellent service on their energy bills
- Develop an expert understanding of our energy cost structures and drivers across our markets and help inform key energy purchasing and strategy decisions
- Support the Operations team in testing data and acting as an internal energy advisor
Your Day to Day
- Oversee energy operations and billing for all sites, maximizing cost recovery through supplier invoice review, customer invoicing, SLA monitoring, and feedback to internal teams
- Supplier energy billing review and recovery tracking
- Customer energy invoice creation
- Billing alignment with SLAs and feedback to commercial teams
- Energy data logging internally
- Carbon accounting and renewable energy measurement
- Calculate CUE and report back to the business company progress towards net zero
- Dashboarding and analysis
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and tools for energy, emissions, climate, and sustainability metrics using advanced Excel and PowerBI skills
Requirements
- You have 5+ years of experience as a business analyst, energy consulting, engineering or similar
- You have a university degree in business, economics, engineering or similar
- You are passionate about energy and sustainability and have a keen interest in the operations of large energy users such as data centers
- You have strong data analysis and presentation skills
- You have strong excel and PowerBi skills
- You are a team player, eager to take on new responsibilities and excel in your role
- High level of motivation to learn and grow in the role
