About the team
CoreMod is a multi‑year program modernising the Reserve Bank of Australia’s core technology platforms to strengthen the resilience, security and sustainability of Australia’s critical payment and banking systems.
The Engagement & Readiness Project Coordinator supports the people and business side of this transformation, ensuring ongoing engagement, visibility and readiness across the Bank as CoreMod delivers major milestones and migrations.
The role reports to the Project Lead, CoreMod, works closely with project managers, migration and transition teams and change specialists, and sits within CoreMod’s Project Coordinator team. It plays a key role in enabling safe and effective migrations and business readiness across the Bank.
About the role
Coordinate engagement and readiness activities across CoreMod initiatives, including complex migrations and transition phases
Plan and support a range of engagement activities, including executive briefings, bank‑wide stakeholder forums and internal staff all‑hands meetings
Work closely with Executive Assistants and senior leaders to coordinate time‑critical meetings, often at short notice, requiring persistence, diplomacy and flexibility
Develop and maintain engagement, readiness and delivery plans, schedules and milestones using Jira and MS Project
Track and manage project risks, issues, actions and dependencies, with a strong focus on business readiness and operational impact
Support activities relating to exemptions, including security or related approvals, coordinating inputs across multiple stakeholders
Monitor progress against plans, identify issues early and support corrective actions
Contribute to the continuous improvement of CoreMod engagement and readiness practices
About you
You are an experienced, resilient Project Coordinator who is comfortable operating in complex environments and engaging confidently with senior stakeholders.
5 - 10 years’ experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role within large, complex organisations or transformation programs
High emotional intelligence (EQ), with the ability to build trust, read stakeholder dynamics and adapt your approach
Demonstrated experience working with C‑suite executives and senior leaders, including coordinating executive‑level meetings
Experience supporting exemptions processes, ideally including security exemptions, in regulated or controlled environments
Strong perseverance and follow‑through, particularly when coordinating urgent, last‑minute requests across busy stakeholder groups
Hands‑on experience using Jira and MS Project to manage schedules, actions and dependencies
Excellent organisational and coordination skills, with a structured, proactive working style
Clear, confident communication skills and experience working within project governance frameworks
