Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
Join an inclusive team passionate about one thing: using their expertise in the relentless pursuit of innovation for customers and partners. The solutions we build help make everything from virtual reality experiences to breakthroughs in neural networks possible. We do it all while committing to integrity, sustainability, and giving back to our communities. Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.
We are seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic individuals to join the NAND Engineering-Product Yield Enhancement (PYE) Engineering Team. As PYE Failure Analysis (FA) Engineer for Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for providing full Fault Isolation (FI) and Electrical Failure Analysis support for qualifications, new device introduction, and opportunity to work on latest Micron technology. You will apply relevant methodologies to isolate electrical failures in close collaboration with Product Engineering Teams. A strong understanding of product architecture, process flow, and test sequences is essential, as you will work with Process Integration, Product, Test, and Quality Reliability Assurance Engineering groups to ensure physical defects are accurately identified and classified.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform sophisticated electrical device characterization to determine electrical fail mechanisms.
  • Operate fault isolation equipment to accurately narrow down failure defect locations.
  • Establish and hypothesize potential electrical or process fail mechanisms based on detailed electrical fail models and physical failure analysis characterization, supporting process improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with a diverse range of collaborators, including teams from frontend to backend and the Global Quality (GQ) department, to address and resolve defectivity issues.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive electrical and physical failure mechanisms on a weekly basis to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement new fault isolation and physical failure analysis techniques to stay ahead of industry standards.
  • Coordinate the maintenance and high uptime of fault isolation and physical failure analysis tools to ensure world-class operational efficiency.
  • Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
  • Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one's scope of work.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's / Master's in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Electrical, Microelectronics or Data Science
  • Proven experience as a great team player with outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills and a strong drive to excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information effectively in large meetings.
  • Highly motivated individuals with a passion for innovation and excellence.
  • Knowledge of fault isolation equipment, techniques, and physical failure analysis is a significant advantage.
  • Strong understanding of NAND/DRAM/HBM devices and knowledge of Fab processes is a desirable asset.
  • Flexibility to participate in planned shift rotations to support critical product qualifications, high-priority manufacturing events, and technology ramp activities.
  • Experience or strong interest in AI, machine learning, data analytics, or automation applied to semiconductor engineering, manufacturing, failure analysis, or yield enhancement is highly desirable.
