POSITION SUMMARY:
At Xcenda, the software developers’ main responsibilities are designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications that meet the needs of our users and stakeholders. Software developers also troubleshoot and debug issues and provide documentation for their work. They work with a team of developers and other related functions to deliver high-quality software.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Implement application features
· Perform application maintenance tasks
· Prepare pull requests and perform code reviews
· Review and contribute to feature requirements
· Research implementation techniques
· Investigate and troubleshoot issues
· Participate in, and contribute to, QA activities
· Prepare documentation on application coding, functionalities, and processes
· Participate in, and contribute to, sprint meetings
· Timely updates on work progress
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Must Have:
Development in the following technologies: Blazor, Razor, C#, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and MS SQL Server
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Meticulous attention to detail
· Must have experience with:
o Object-oriented programming
o Integrating third party components/libraries such as MudBlazor, and Aspose
o Experience applying project requirements to database table design and working with stored procedures/queries, SQL functions, and ORM frameworks
o Knowledge of design patterns and common data structures required
o Manage the application programming interfaces for communication between client-side and server-side backend using Web APIs
o Developing reusable library codes and components
o Single Page Applications with focus on cross browser and responsive interfaces
· Ability to implement efficient coding practices and apply these practices to new platforms and development tools (languages)
· Ability to work independently, perform code reviews of existing projects to understand assigned tasks and adhere to programming standards
· Experience that is an asset;
o ASP.NET, VB.NET, Web Services, MVC, and AngularJS is an asset
o Familiarity with modular design and programming to create dynamic and reusable features
o Able to analyze SQL queries for performance optimizations
o Azure cloud services
o Azure Cognitive services
o Azure DevOps

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
· A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or a related field) or training in the technologies listed in the minimum skills
· 5+ years of experience in a software development role
· MS Azure certification(s) is an asset
