About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised Engineer to support the Sales Department deliver special features and non-standard options requested by customers.

This role, reporting to the Engineering Manager, is responsible for actioning customer special feature requests and ensuring compliance with Crown and Australian standards, as well as developing new local option designs based on functional specification, maintaining engineering product records, and maintaining and releasing engineering documentation.


Requirements

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop functional specification for local special features, non-standard options, and modifications with designs relevant to internal and external standards.
  • Support sales configurator maintenance by providing costing and approval information to the Sales Department.
  • Manage and develop costing for special feature approvals with manufacturers.
  • Maintain ERP data to support special feature process and approvals.
  • Report on approval request status as required.
  • Ensure compliance to Crown specifications, Australian standards, and other applicable regulations.

Skills & Experience

  • Competency in Unigraphics NX or similar CAD System.
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical/Mechatronics).
  • Design experience in the Industrial/Forklift Truck Industry or similar (e.g. Earthmoving Equipment).
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards.
