Our desire for continuous growth is what creates the collaborative and high-performance environment we work in. Though we’re spread around the world, we’re a unified team moving towards a shared vision: to unleash the investor in everyone.

Join us as we continue to reshape the financial industry, inspiring investor confidence and celebrating our wins along the way.

About this role

Our Accounts and Onboarding squad is the front door of Stake and this is a highly influential role across Stake. This role leads the team responsible for the customer journey from signup → onboarding → verification → first meaningful action, as well as the underlying account foundations that keep identity and account integrity strong.

You’ll help the team ship improvements that are both conversion-aware and risk-aware—delivering a seamless experience without compromising trust, security, or compliance requirements.

You will be one of Technology’s key leadership team members, working directly with the CTO and other Engineering Managers and cross-functional senior leadership to build a seamless customer experience for ambitious investors. You will work with a high-performing team of Engineers across Trading, Super and Save product pillars where you’ll gain exposure to Stake’s full suite of products.

Further responsibilities include:

  • Lead and develop a team of engineers: hiring, onboarding, coaching, feedback, and performance management.
  • Own the accounts and onboarding experience end-to-end: signup flows, onboarding orchestration, account lifecycle foundations, and identity/account integrity.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and Data to define and improve onboarding outcomes using metrics and experimentation, while coordinating with Risk/Compliance on controls.
  • Provide EM-level technical leadership: architecture direction, service boundaries/ownership, privacy/security posture, and quality standards.
  • Improve execution and predictability: planning, prioritisation, dependency management, and clear delivery milestones.
  • Build strong domain instrumentation: funnel visibility, diagnostics, and crisp operational processes for onboarding issues.

A bit about you

  • Experience managing engineering teams shipping customer-facing product flows at scale.
  • Strong cross-functional partnership with Product/Design/Data, including metric-driven iteration and tradeoff decisions.
  • Excellent people leadership: coaching, growth plans, team health, communication and performance management.
  • Sound technical judgement around identity/account systems, reliability, privacy/security, and operational excellence.
  • Comfort working across dependencies and ambiguity—creating clarity and alignment.
  • Experience improving onboarding funnels, experimentation, and activation metrics.
  • Identity/KYC/verification experience (or adjacent risk-sensitive domains).

At Stake, we’re more interested in your attitude than your resume. If you believe this is a role you want to jump into, please apply and let us know why in your cover letter!
