As an Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of our technical endeavors. About the team


The Payments team is responsible for delivering a highly scalable, secure, high-performance, and compliant payment system that supports numerous currencies and payment methods worldwide. This team forms the backbone of our financial operations, playing a crucial role in driving revenue growth, enabling global expansion, and strengthening customer trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance for building a core service.
  • Plan and manage projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers for high performance.
  • Recruit and onboard top talent to meet project requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product priorities.
  • Ensure code quality, testing, and performance optimization practices.
  • Implement security measures and maintain compliance standards.
  • Oversee incident management, resolution, and customer-focused improvements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Extensive professional experience in engineering team management, 5+ years
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated mastery of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing complex, scalable, and robust software systems.
  • Experience collaborating with product or program management teams.
  • Proven experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and coaching teams of Software Engineers to enhance their skills and effectiveness as product software engineers.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with users, technical teams, and senior leadership for requirements gathering, articulating software features, outlining technical designs, and aligning with product strategy.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Proven track record of building and operating highly scalable payments processing systems.
  • Experience with providing critical API services used by both internal and external consumers.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment, meeting high standards of compliance and trust.
