Job DescriptionThe Role
The Commercial Products team manages a fleet of custom-built systems critical to our Sales Operations, Traffic, Finance, and Presentation teams. These systems manage all revenue associated with our broadcast schedules, making it possible to sell and traffic ads into our linear broadcasts.
Key Responsibilities
Optimize Practices: Partner with leadership to implement and maintain modern engineering workflows.
Strategic Planning: Align system improvements and new features with core business goals.
Technical Roadmap: Identify high-value technical improvements to boost reliability and efficiency.
Agile Leadership: Facilitate team ceremonies and drive continuous delivery improvements.
People & Culture
Performance Coaching: Manage career growth and performance via regular 1-on-1s.
Strategic Alignment: Lead teams using outcome-led frameworks
Engagement: Foster a high-performance, inclusive team culture.
Operational Excellence
Business Continuity: Ensure 9Galaxy remains a robust, mission-critical system.
DevOps Maturity: Drive the adoption of DevOps principles across the engineering lifecycle.
What You’ll Bring:
Prior experience leading teams
Knowledge of strategic frameworks, including OKRs and other outcome-led performance frameworks
Effective communication abilities
Strong capabilities in guiding ongoing improvements to Ways of Working and team practices
Excellent knowledge of DevOps principles and experience with effective implementation in an environment with low DevOps maturity
Desirable qualifications, experience & skills
Industry experience with broadcast or streaming media is beneficial but not required.
