JLL has been appointed to be the property manager of North Sydney’s newest and most impressive commercial and retail precincts.

With completion anticipated in a few weeks and preliminary construction underway, we're commencing the search to replace our experienced Engineering Services Manager. Our team is highly experienced and will draw on the full support of JLL’s national, regional and international network.

The Engineering Services Manager will be responsible for the pre and post PC set up and then the day to day management of all operational aspects of the property.

A snapshot of the day-to-day duties.

  • Establish and maintain a sound professional relationship with our client

  • Liaise with Owners, Development and Building Management to evaluate and assist in the commissioning of building systems prior to Practical Completion

  • Evaluate and proactively procure services and maintenance agreements as necessary for any services not maintained from PC

  • Evaluate and provide advice to Owners in regard to discrepancies between scope and delivery of the asset

  • Ensure all relevant certification and approvals have been delivered by the Developer and Builders to ensure that the asset can be occupied

  • Maximise the performance in terms of sustainability and ensure NABERS, energy and water targets are achieved

  • Ensure and manage WH&S and risk/ compliance with all relevant statutory authorities and enact sound engineering practices in relation to the maintenance of the property

  • Prepare and manage property engineering and capital works budgets

Before you apply it’s worth knowing what we are looking for:

  • You'll have previous experience in delivering new Premium or A grade Properties from construction PC to occupation.
  • Ideally you hold a professional qualification in Engineering (or a trade certificate HVAC, BMS, Electrical, Mechanical).
  • You can read and interpret engineering documentation, and have a strong understanding of all the technical aspects relating to a building (chiller systems, mechanical and electrical systems, BMS, Fire, etc.)
  • Having the ability to be proactive and identify potential risks through compliance with WH&S is essential. You keep on top of things and can also oversee budgets, cut operational costs, and incur savings during the process.
  • Effective communication skills will be critical to your success, and you work well in a fast-paced environment.
