About the role

As a proactive and passionate sales hunter, you’ll be responsible for building and growing your own client portfolio. You’ll engage with business decision-makers at enterprise-sized customers (5,001 – 20,000 users), cultivating long-term relationships and helping clients elevate their internal comms strategy. This role focuses on the APAC region, with a primary emphasis on Australia. It’s a hybrid role based in Sydney, requiring two days per week at our Sydney CBD office. Please note, commuting from interstate is not an option.

What you'll be doing

  • Work closely with a collaborative team to grow the APAC region for Staffbase.
  • Become an expert in employee communication and engagement strategies.
  • Drive revenue and consistently exceed quota.
  • Actively seek new opportunities, follow up with clients, and close deals.
  • Be part of the global Staffbase community, working on our newest geography, APAC.
  • Collaborate with global teams across EMEA and NA.
  • Manage complex sales cycles, using all available resources.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Customer Success teams to achieve goals.
  • Bring innovative strategies and ideas that align with our company’s culture and values.

What you'll need to be successful

  • 5+ years of experience in SaaS sales, ideally within web tech, collaboration, or communication.
  • Proven success in hitting and exceeding targets in Australia.
  • Experience working in global companies with offices in Europe and North America.
  • A competitive streak and a relentless drive to succeed.
  • Hybrid work availability – this is not a remote role.
  • Experience in start-up/scale-up environments is a plus.
  • Ability to work with C-level execs, IT, HR, and communications teams.
  • High emotional intelligence, with strong listening and understanding skills.
  • Passion, humor, and an energetic attitude.
  • World-class communication and closing skills.
