We are seeking a dynamic and driven Enterprise Account Executive to join our Sales Team. As an Account Executive at Buildkite, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth by developing, managing, and closing business within Enterprise Accounts. You will be responsible for leading the sales cycle from initial prospecting to successful deal closure, promoting the adoption of Buildkite's software solutions.

What You’ll Do

💡 Develop New Business & Grow Existing Accounts

  • Identify and close new business opportunities within enterprise accounts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across different industries.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from initial prospecting to closing deals.
  • Cross-sell Buildkite’s solutions and identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Conduct active outreach using tools like Sales Navigator, Meet Alfred, Apollo, and Salesforce.

📈 Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Understand customers’ needs and tailor Buildkite’s solutions to their challenges.
  • Manage complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Accurately forecast pipeline and revenue, leveraging strategic sales methodologies like MEDDIC.
  • Maintain CRM hygiene and keep deal documentation up to date through proof-of-concept (POC) stages.
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure successful outcomes for sales opportunities.

🔗 Customer Engagement

  • Work closely with Sales Engineers to guide customers through technical evaluations.
  • Provide insight and support to help customers maximise the value of Buildkite’s solutions.
  • Represent Buildkite at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
  • Be the voice of the customer. Advocate for their needs and share feedback with internal teams.

🎨 What You Bring:

  • Proven Sales Experience – Experience in B2B SaaS or software sales, with a track record of closing enterprise-level deals.
  • Industry Knowledge – Understanding of developer tooling, CI/CD, and cloud platforms like AWS and GCP.
  • Strong Relationship Builder – Comfortable engaging with both technical teams and senior decision-makers.
  • Sales Acumen – Familiarity with strategic sales methodologies like MEDDIC.
  • Results-Driven – Consistently meets or exceeds targets, with experience in delivering precise forecasts and business reports.
  • Collaborative & Proactive – Works well independently while contributing to a strong team culture.
  • Strategic Thinker – Able to navigate complex enterprise sales cycles and build long-term customer relationships.
