The Security business operates as a Sales Pursuit Team with deep domain knowledge of enterprises' digital business. That includes network infrastructure and application security requirements. As a Sales Specialist you will collaborate with the wider Akamai team and channel partners to pursue and generate sales opportunities.

Our Enterprise Security team focuses on highly scalable security products. It enables us to provide our customers with high-quality Application Security and Zero Trust solutions. Our security solutions include API Security, DNS Security, Zero Trust Access and Micro-segmentation to protect our customers. Our goal is to secure, protect and accelerate all enterprise communication as a cloud security service.

As an Enterprise Sales Executive - New and Existing Accounts, you will be responsible for:

  • Being a leader in driving the Enterprise Security agenda internally and externally.
  • Possessing charisma, energy and finesse to be a leader in driving the Enterprise Security agenda internally and externally
  • Being adaptive, creative and resourceful, with a desire to operate in a start-up, undefined and matrix mode
  • Demonstrating Enterprise Domain Expertise - Infrastructure, applications, networking or security background(s) in selling to senior executives

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a proven track record of creating interest and pipeline within new or existing accounts
  • Be able to understand why customers have brought from Akamai and articulate these in anecdotes or case-studies
  • Demonstrate experience working with multiple teams including Sales, SE, Customer Success, Renewals and Customer Advocacy
  • Have experience leading teams within a matrixed organization
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Have the following experience: Cybersecurity including WAF and API Security, Zero
    trust technologies such as SASE and Micro Segmentation (ex. Cisco Tetration,
    VMware NSX), Firewall.
