Job Description

Enterprise Software Sales executive

Pune -India

Provide senior‑level sales expertise to achieve planned orders, revenue, and pipeline targets across the complete software product portfolio. Drive enterprise and mid‑market software contracts—especially SaaS‑based MES solutions such as Plex—within the Named Accounts and growth segments.

You will report to the Manager, Enterprise Software Sales and work in a hybrid model based in Pune, India

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Consistently meet and exceed quota by actively negotiating, managing complex sales cycles, and closing opportunities in collaboration with the broader Rockwell Automation sales ecosystem.
  • Manage an accurate sales forecast and pipeline across Information Software, including cloud‑native MES (Plex), FactoryTalk applications, and related digital operations solutions.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and selling capability in MES, SaaS offerings, and cloud‑delivered manufacturing solutions.
  • Help define project scope and developing ROI analyses; use value‑selling methodologies to measure business benefits and construct compelling commercial proposals.
  • Use Global Sales and Marketing resources for opportunity targeting and account reach.
  • Act as the primary liaison between customers, regional sales teams, and Rockwell Automation Information Software groups to ensure smooth pipeline progression.
  • Provide regular, formal status updates to sales leadership, including forecast accuracy, pipeline health, and activity summaries through CRM tools.
  • Build deep business and financial understanding of Rockwell Software—especially Plex, SaaS MES, and digital transformation solutions—and promote their value to customers.
  • Develop insight into the Automotive and Auto‑ancillary market in India, including digital, regulatory landscape, and MES adoption trends.
  • Improve focused growth of the mid‑market MES business, expanding coverage, increasing SaaS penetration, and accelerating customer acquisition in high‑growth manufacturing clusters.
The Essentials – You Will Have
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, computer science, manufacturing IT or related discipline (preferred).
  • Minimum 9+ years of direct sales or consulting experience in Food & Beverage, Life Sciences, Pharma, Automotive, Tire, or related industries.
  • Experience managing a small team.
  • Experience in SaaS selling, and subscription‑based commercial models.
The Preferred – You Might Also Have
  • Familiarity with supply chain concepts, logistics, manufacturing workflows, and IT/OT system interactions.
  • Knowledge of FactoryTalk applications or equivalent, IIoT, Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing, Digital Operations, Manufacturing Intelligence, Digital Transformation, and Advanced Analytics.
  • Experience with India's Automotive sector, including OEMs, Tier‑1/2 suppliers, and evolving digital manufacturing needs.
