We’re looking for an ambitious, results-oriented Account Executive to join Salesforce’s Tableau team, helping drive data-led transformation across New South Wales and Queensland’s public sector. You'll leverage Tableau’s industry-leading analytics platform to empower government organisations with actionable insights that improve public services and decision-making.
As a Tableau Account Executive, you will own the sales cycle across your territory—engaging stakeholders, identifying challenges, and positioning Tableau as the solution of choice. You’ll build trusted relationships, develop strategic account plans, and collaborate with internal teams to exceed revenue targets and deliver lasting value.
You’ll work with a variety of public sector customers, including agencies in education, transport, and health, helping them use data to deliver more effective, efficient, and transparent services.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales Ownership: Lead the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and qualification to negotiation and closing.
Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with public sector stakeholders across NSW and QLD, understanding their unique challenges.
Territory & Account Planning: Develop and execute strategic territory plans tailored to the needs of government customers in your region.
Solution Selling: Clearly articulate Tableau’s value proposition, demonstrating its impact on solving real-world data challenges.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with BDRs, Solution Engineers, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure seamless execution.
- Salesforce CRM Excellence: Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline tracking, and account documentation to support data-driven sales decisions.
Proven success in consultative, solution-based sales, with a consistent record of exceeding quotas.
Experience selling to or working with public sector organisations in Australia—NSW and QLD experience highly desirable.
Knowledge of public sector priorities across education, health, transport, or other key domains
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning capabilities.
Ability to manage complex sales cycles and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
Familiarity with analytics and data visualisation platforms.
Passion for customer success and alignment with Salesforce values: trust, innovation, customer success, equality, and collaboration.Willingness to travel across NSW and Queensland to build relationships and grow your territory.
