About the role 
 We’re seeking an Environment Advisor to provide environmental assurance support and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.

Day-to-day, you will: 

  • Provide environmental assurance support and monitor compliance with regulations

  • Oversee environmental monitoring activities and manage relationships with external consultants and contractors to ensure project requirements are met

  • Maintain and update environmental documentation and risk registers

  • Support inspections and assurance activities to ensure environmental standards

  • Create and implement training programs to educate employees on environmental policies, procedures, and best practices

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Engineering, Physical Sciences, Earth Sciences or equivalent.

  • Strong knowledge and practical application of environmental legislations and standards across various jurisdictions

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an operational environment or major projects environment

  • Strong understanding of statutory environmental reporting requirements

  • Proficiency in environment monitoring, risk management and compliance assurance

  • Ability to influence stakeholders and workforce towards continuous improvement in environmental performance, with excellent communication and engagement skills

  • Experience in developing and implementing environmental management systems, including ISO 14001
